A 5-4 win over Clarke at Osceola June 3rd started the Chariton freshman girls softball season. Chariton scored their five runs on three hits and received a solid performance from Sophia DeMaria on the mound to get the five inning win.
DeMaria got the win on the mound. She gave up four runs, three earned, on five hits while striking out five and walking three. Chariton had three errors defensively.
