The Charger JV girls crushed Davis County 12-1 on Monday June 10, running their record to 2-3. Alexis Curran pitched a solid game, giving up four hits and walking four while striking out four. She gave up a single earned run in the second inning.
Chariton scored three in the first, five in the second and four in the fifth to end the game.
Sarah Fuhs went 1-3 with a single and a run scored. Nikki Vande Lune was 2-4 with a single, a double and three RBI with two runs scored. Jessica Wierdeholt scored three runs and Maria Blong scored two. Curran was 1-3 with a single, two RBI and two runs scored. Kelsey Carver went 1-2 with a single. Meredith Davis went 2-4 with two singles, an RBI and one run scored. Rily Heffron went 1-1 with a single and two RBI's. Kyla Wheeler went 2-2 with a single, a double and an RBI. Every inning was finished with good defensive play.
