Bengtson wins 800, 4x4 team fourth at SCC Meet

The Chariton boys track team recorded a number of high finishes at the South Central Conference meet at Chariton Monday night.  Christian Bengtson won the 800 meter race in a time of 2:06.36.  Bengtson also placed fourth in the 400 meter dash in 55.20.  As a team Chariton placed sixth overall with 33 points.  Centerville won the meet with 155 points.

In the discus, Travis Morr placed sixth with a throw of 116".  Alec Reynolds placed 11th with a throw of 84'6".  Reynolds placed seventh in the shot put with a throw of 38'10".  William Kline threw 32'9".  In the long jump, Token Hall placed sixth overall with a jump of 18'11¾".  Chasen Blue placed with a jump of 18'2¼".

In the 100 meter dash, Jon Lazear and Dillon Sanders each recorded their best times of the year.  Lazear finished seventh in 11.93 and Sanders was eighth in 11.94.  In the 200, Zach McElroy placed ninth in 24.92 and Brett Braida finished 10th in 25.06.  In the 400 meter dash, Hoeger finished eight in 57.65.  In the 800, Lucas Heaverlo finished 11th in 2:33.67.  In the 110 meter hurdles, Tyler Nance finished eighth in 18.29.  In the 110 meter hurdles, Schreck recorded a personal best time, finishing sixth in 17.89.  Nance finished eighth in 18.29.  In the 1,600 meter run, Caleb Allen finished 10th in 5:48.40.  in the 3,200 meter run, Luke Evans finished ninth in 12:15.06.  Luis Ortiz finished 11th in 12:38.86.  In the 400 meter hurdles, Nance and Cain each finished eight in 1:07.08.
