The first win of the season came to the Chariton JV Girls at Albia Thursday, June 6th. The girls gave Albia a beating and came out with the win, 12-4. Chariton scored at least one run in all six innings. The girls really hit the ball well and at the appropriate place and time.
Mackenzie Welch pitched the whole game and got the win on the mound. Jessica Wiederholt was her catcher. Welch gave up four runs, two earned, on six hits while striking out three and walking one.
