A 9-3 win over Albia June 6th moved the team to 2-0. Nine runs and eight hits in the fifth inning broke the game open. Only one error was committed by Chariton. Ashley Storm, Kendall Hardie and Carlie Schaeffer each had two hits. Sophia DeMaria went the distance on the mound and got the win. In five innings she gave up three runs, two earned, on eight hits while striking out nine and walking none.
