Charger golfers place fourth at North-South Meet at Centerville

  The Chariton boys golf team competed at the North-South Classic at Centerville on May 1st.  The Chargers placed fourth out of nine teams with a score of 367.
  Centerville's Alex Moorman was the medalist with a 70.  Tyler Maddison of Albia, Noah Simon of Central Decatur and Cody Quint of Putnam County, Mo., tied for runner-up honors with a 74.  Jake Hargrave of Centerville finished fifth with a 75.
  Daric Laing and TJ Hockenson each led Chariton with an 89.  Both Laing and Hockenson shot a 45 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine.  Sawyer Dow shot a 91 including a 47 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine.  Sean Sullenger shot a 98 including a 47 on the front nine and a 51 on the back nine.
  Adam Kaska shot a 100 including a 51 on the front nine and a 49 on the back nine.  Trevor Mark shot a 111 including a 56 on the front nine and a 55 on the back nine.
  Centerville won the meet with a 300.  Albia was second with a 319 and East Union was third with a 348.  Central Decatur was fifth with 369.  Milan, Mo., was sixth with a 372.  Putnam Co., Mo. was seventh with a 374.  Davis County was eighth with a 381 and Schuyler County, Mo., was ninth with a 396.
