7th Girls Win Titles at Lil Charger Relays

  The Chariton seventh grade girls track team won titles in the 4 x 800 relay and the distance medley relay at the Lil Charger Relays recently.  Chariton placed seventh out of eight teams with 71.66 points.
  The 4 x 800 relay team of Emily Shelton, Abby Adams, Breanna Ellis and Julie Granahan placed first in 12:23.45.  The distance medle relay team of Alysha Shutt, Kaden Gray, Grace Bengtson and Erin Payton placed first in 5:04.65.
  In the sprint medley relay, the team of Macy Johnston, Gray, Shelby Dobberthein and Bengtson placed third in 2:14.64.  The 4 x 400 relay team of Granahan, Shutt, Bengtson and Payton placed fourth in 5:10.27.  In the 4 x 100 relay, the team of Crystal Milam, Johnston, Maicy Rasumus and Avelina Popkov placed seventh in 1:06.68.  The 4 x 100 team of Sami Baker, Kennedy Gall, Kaitlin Gwinn and Hailey Deemer finished in 1:14.
  In the 200-meter dash, Payton placed third in 30:53.  Popkov finished 15th in 35:19.  Gall had a time of 37.54.  Destiny Madison finished 24th in 38.68.  In the 100-meter dash, Dobberthein placed fourth in 15.58.  Milam was 10th in 16.25.  Macy Beaty was 11th in 16.40.  Alaynna Wagner was 17th in 16.79.
  In the 400-meter dash, Shelton finished ninth in 1:21.21.  Granahan finished 10th in 1:22.12.  In the 800 meters, Shelton placed sixth in 3:11.79.  Adams was eighth in 3:14.19.  Renee Pedersen was 13th in 3:23.50.  In the 100-meter hurdles, Wagner finished 10th in 22.79.  Gizzy Keeler was 12th in 23.73.
  In the 1,600-meter run, Adams was 10th in 6:51.89.  Ellis was 11th in 6:58.10.  In the 200-meter hurdles, Shutt was fourth in 36.28.  Dobberthein was fifth in 37 seconds even.  In the discus, Ellis placed fifth with a throw of 64'6".  Popkov placed sixth with a throw of 61'2".  Jewelea Matlock was 12th with a throw of 47'8".  Mikenzy Beaty was 19th with a jump of 8'5".
  In the shot put, Dobberthein placed eighth with a throw of 20'6".  Matlock was 13th with a throw of 18'8" and Gray was 14th with a throw of 18'7".  Gwinn was 20th with a throw of 14'6".
  Grinnell won the meet with 150.32 points.  Greston was second with 125.33.  Knoxville was third with 87.16 and Indianola was fourth with 84.33.  Central Decatur was fifth with 73.83.  Norwalk was sixth with 73.32.  Clarke was eighth with 14 points.
