Boys Soccer Loses to Albia

The Chariton boys soccer team fell at home to Albia, 3-0 on May 8th.  The Blue Demons started out quickly  with two goals in the first four minutes and led 3-0 at halftime.
Chariton started the second half with the wind when the referee stopped the game because of lightning.  The teams waited for 30 minutes but were unable to restart the game because there was still lightning in the area.  The game was called in the 45th minute with Albia still leading 3-0.
"We didn't come ready to play tonight.  When you play a good team like Albia, you have to be ready.  They have been ranked in the top 10 for most of the year.  We did correct things and started to play much better, but after feing behind by two goals we were unable to get things going," Chariton Head Coach Jay Pierschbacher said.
