The Lucas County Farm Bureau scholarship committee is pleased to announce Taylor Pennington and Madison Briggs as the winners of $750 Lucas County Farm Bureau Scholarships.
Taylor Pennington - Taylor is the daughter of Brian Pennington and Danielle Van Ryswyk of Lucas. Taylor attends Chariton High School and will graduate in May. She plans to attend Simpson College in the fall where she plans to major in education.
Madison Briggs - Madison is the daughter of Kevin and Karri Briggs of Russell. Madison attends Chariton High School and will graduate in May. She will attend Graceland University and major in Early Childhood Education with a minor in science. She has the goal of continuing her education in physical therapy and ultimately, focusing in physical therapy for children.
