More Scholarships Offered

PEO Scholarship Available
Applications are now being accepted for a $500 scholarship available to graduating Lucas County seniors.  This scholarship is given by chapter 0S of PEO.  They are a local organization wishing to promote education in our community.  If you would like an application form, please contact the office at Chariton Community High School.

CCEA Scholarship being offered
The Chariton Community Education Association (CCEA) is offering a $500 scholarship for a college junior or senior who is majoring in education and is a graduate of Chariton High School.  The fundraiser for this scholarship was held last fall when desert plates were sold following the high school musical.  This will be the sixteenth year for the scholarship.  The application deadline is May 15.  Information and application forms may be obtained at the Chariton High School Office or the school's website.  For further information contact Linda Miller at 774-5066.

Shelton Law Firm Scholarship to be Awarded
Applications are now being accepted for a $1,000 scholarship given by Shelton Law Firm.  This is available to graduating Chariton High School seniors.  This scholarship is being given to promote education in our community.  If you would like an application form, please contact the guidance office at Chariton Community High School.  The scholarship will be announced at the senior program in May.

Paul Revere Masonic Lodge Offers Scholarship
Paul Revere Masonic Lodge at Lucas is offering a A$500 scholarship open to any student pursuing continuing education at any accredited college or technical school.  Applications are available at Chariton Wayne and Mormon Trail High Schools, or call 641-203-5296.  Applications must be received by April 15 to be considered.

Orva Fjelland Hibbs Scholarships
Applications are now being accepted for two $1,500 scholarships available to Chariton High School graduating seniors.  These scholarships are given by Tom Hibbs in memory of his mother, Orva Fjelland Hibbs.
Tom Hibbs graduated with the CHS class of 1964.  He is giving scholarships to promote education for students at Chariton High School.  If you would like an application form, please contact the guidance office at the high school.  The scholarships will be announced at the senior program in May.
