Bengtson Wins 800 at Centerville Relays

The Charger boys track team competed at the Centerville Relays on April 10th.  Chariton placed sixth out of nine teams with 37 points.
Chariton had one champion as Christian Bengtson won the 800 meters with a time of 2:05.7.  In the 400 meters Bengtson finished fourth in 54.3.
In the distance medley relay the team of Dillon Sanders, Zach McElroy, Aaron Cain and Cody Evans placed third in 3:56.
In the 4x800 relay the team of Cody Evans, Cain, Evan Havick and Bengtson placed fourth in 9:05.7.  In the 4x100 relay the team of Stephen McCurdy, McElroy,  Austin Ritenour and Sanders placed fourth in 49.1.
In the 4x400 relay the team of Brett Braida, Havick, Chase Altenhofen and Bryce Exline placed fifth in 3:56.3.
In the 4x200 relay the team of McCurdy McElroy Ritenour and Braida placed fifth in 1:42.9.  In the 4x110 shuttle hurdley relay the team of Ethan Schreck, Dustin Hale, Austin Cline and Jacob Larrington placed fifth in 1:14.4.
In the long jump, Sanders placed fifth with a jup of 17'6".  In the 3.200 Luke Evans placed sixth with a time of 11:10.6, which was a personal best time for him.
