McDaniel, Adams Place Second at BGM Tourney

The Chariton JV wrestlers competed at the BGM JV Tournament in Brooklyn Dec. 6th.  The format was a four-man round robin.  Chariton had two wrestlers place second including 132 pounder Nick McDaniel and 138 pounder Sam Adams.  Blake Poush placed third at 160 and Ethan Downen placed fourth at 160.  The Chariton JV Coach is Zach Baughman.
At 132, McDaniel won by fall over Kordell Mueller of Lynnville-Sully in 39 seconds.  McDaniel lost to Jake Staroska of Grinnell by a 7-5 decision.  McDaniel won by fall over Kyle Underwood of Albia in  57 seconds.
At 138, Adams, lost by a 9-4 decision to Caleb Hasley of BGM.  He won by fall over Mike Miller of Davis County in 1:24.  He won by technical fall, 17-0, over Kyle Kramer of Lynnville-Sully.
At 160, Poush won by fall over Dakota Wueve of East Marshall in 34 seconds.  He lost by fall to Noah Reeves of Sigourney in 1:47.  He lost by fall to Kale Baird of Davis County in 3:30.  At 160, Downen, lost by fall to Dylan Dekraai of Davis County in 1:05.  He lost by fall to Christian Powless of Albia in 32 seconds.  He lost by fall to Noah Bender of Sigourney in 51 seconds.
