Chariton lost 41-6 to Mt. Pleasant in a district loss. An early turnover that led to a touchdown and a blocked point that led to a field goal and poor playing were all keys in the loss. One positive was that Chariton outgained Mt. Pleasant on the ground. Chariton rushed for 133 yards on 25 carries. Matt Schultz led the team with 86 yards on 24 carries. In the final two minutes of the first half, the Chargers put together a nice drive that wound up with no points from it. On a third and two from their own 49, Schultz ran to the Panther 46 for a first down. The Chargers seemed to be knocking on the door as Schultz carried it down to the five. After a penalty, they tried to attempt a field goal but Chasen Blue's kick was short to end the half with Mt. Pleasant leding, 31-0. Tackles Cody Carroll had 4 assists. Ronnie Christensen had 2 assists. Blake Paige had 2 solos and 2 assists. Chasen Blue had 3 assists. and Alex Wright had 1 solo, 3 assists and 1 pressure.
