Chargers Hold Off Fort Madison for 1st Win of 2011

In the picture to the above, Matt Schultz rushes around right end for a five-yard touchdown in the second quarter.  Schultz rushed for 139 yards on 35 carries and two touchdowns on the night for the Chargers, who got the first win of the season.  The chargers are now 1-5 over all and play at Mr. Pleasant this week.

The Chargers held off a furious fourth quarter comeback by Ft. Madison to get their first win of the season, 23-15, against the Bloodhounds at Jim Youel Field in Ft. Madison Friday night, September 30th.  Matt Schultz ran hard and the offensive line had the best game blocking they've had by far the whole year.  Schultz topped the century mark rushing with 139 yards on 35 carries and two touchdowns.  Ronnie Christensen played spectacular.  Chasen Blue kicked a field goal.  An onside kick after the second touchdown was recovered by Chasen Blue
