The sixth-ranked Chariton Varsity girls lost a couple of tough games at the Dallas Center Grimes Tournament July 1. The Lady Chargers lost to Creston 8-4, in the first game and they lost to Sioux City Bishop Heelan in the second game, 8-3.
In the Creston game, Presley Swan went 2-4 with a double, single and a run scored. Abbee Curran went 1-3 with a single, a run scored and three RBI's. Curran had three put-outs. Swan had one put out.
In the Bishop Heelan game, Seuferer pitched all seven innings and took the loss. Swan went 1-3 with a single and an RBI. Curran went 1-3 with a single and an RBI. Swan had two put-outs and Curran had one. Swan had three assists.
