The Chariton Varsity Baseball team continued on a path to a possible state tournament bid with a 6-5 victory over Carlisle in the Class 3A District 13 first round game at Norwalk this past Friday night, July 15. The Chargers will now play Norwalk in the District 13 final this Monday night, July 18, at 7pm in Norwalk. The winner of the Chariton-Norwalk game will play in the 3A #7 substate final against the District 14 winner, which will be either ADM Adel or Dallas Center Grimes. The substate final will also be played at Norwalk this Wednesday night, July 20 at 7pm.
