The Chariton varsity girls beat the Rockets of Eddyville-Blakesburg at Savage Field, June 16. Chariton pounded out 10 hits and committed no errors in the win. With the win, Chariton moved to 15-2 overall.
Abbee Curran hit a sacrifice moving Seuferer to second. In the bottom of the third Curran got things started with a leadoff double. Grgurich flied out, moving Curran to third. Swan drew a walk then later stole second. Bengtson grounded out which scored Curran to give Chariton a 3-0 lead. Chariton went on to win 6-1.
