At the Urbandale Tournament on June 10, Layne Grgurich lifted the Charger varsity girls to a 10-8 win over
Urbandale.
The Lady Chargers scored once in the first and lived up to their teams name by scoring seven runs in the third to take an 8-1 lead.
In the bottom of the third Seuferer hit a lead off single. Miller struck out and Grgurich smacked a double. Swan hit a sacrifice fly to score Seuferer to make it 2-1. Abbee Curran was hit by a pitch. Bengston singled to score Grgurich and Emma Fuhs smacked a double to score Curran and Bengtson to make it 5-1. Abbee Curran went 0-2 with a run scored, a stolen base and a walk.
