Varsity Chargers fall to Albia

The Chariton varsity boys lost a hard fought battle that ended in double overtime, 60-58, against Albia.  In the second half the score varied by only one point most of the time.  The students and spectators were on the edge of their seats most of the game, but the Chargers came up short in the end.  With the loss, Chariton moved to 1-1 in the conference.With the fans cheering well into the game and with the excitement of the game, no one wanted to leave.  The Chargers and Blue Demons fought valiantly on every possession.  The Blue Demons outscored the Chargers, 5-3 in the overtime period to come away with the win.

Cole Pierschbacher had four points, three rebounds, two blocks and a steal.  Alex Wright had two points, two rebounds and a steal.
