Chargers Win Season Basketball Opener

Five Chargers Score Double Figures in the Game

A 76-53 win over I-35 at Truro gave the Chargers their season opener win.  In the first half five players had reached double figures in scoring.  The game was tight early on as Chariton led 12-9 after one period.   The Chargers outscored the Roadrunners, 23-11 in the second to build a 35-20 halftime lead.  I-35 didn't quit and cut the lead to nine in the third period.  Chariton led 53-41 after three periods and outscored I-35, 23-12 in the fourth to get the commanding win.

Cole Pierschbacher had three points, six rebounds, two steals and one assist.  Cody Carroll had two points and one rebound.  Alex Wright had two points, one steal and two assists.
