The Chariton girls tennis team battled hard but came up a little short in a 9-0 loss to Creston at home May 14th. Creston is a very powerful team and it was tough to break through with any wins in singles and doubles play..
In varsity singles play, in the #1 match, Emily McRoberts lost 10-1. In the #2 match, Rachel Longley lost 10-1. The #3 game, Sheena Savage lost 10-1. In the #4 game, Aspen Koehn played a competitive match against Ashley Harris before losing, 10-5. Julie Wessell, in the #5 game, was also competitive before losing 10-5. At #6, Talia Lerner lost 10-1.
In varsity doubles play, in the #1 match the team of Longley/Koehn lost 10-2. In the #2 match the team of McRoberts/Savage lost 10-3. In the #3 match, the team of Wessel/lerner lost 10-2.
In the JV match, Chariton lost 5-0.
