Wright ties for third at SCC boys golf meet
The Chariton boys golf team had a good day at the conference meet at Centerville May 6th. Alex Wright tied for third overall with a 77 score and made first team all-conference. Chariton placed third overall as a team with a 342 score.
Centerville won the meet with a 294 score and Albia was second with a 337. Clarke was fourth with 344 and Davis County was fifth with a 357. Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont was sixth with a 388.
Wright shot a 39 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine for a 77. Daric Laing shot an 87 including a 46 on the front nine and a 41 on the back nine. Sean Sullenger shot an 89 including 45 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine. Alex Brennan shot an 89 including a 44 on the front nine and a 46 on the back nine. T.J. Hockenson shot a 96 including a 51 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine. Dusty Hardie shot a 118 including a 61 on the front nine and 57 on the back nine.
Miranda Davis places seventh at SCC girls golf meet
The Chariton Lady Chargers golf team competed at the conference meet in Bloomfield May 7th. Miranda Davis led Chariton with a 109 score and finished seventh overall to earn all-conference honors. Chariton placed fourth overall as a team with a 466 score.
