Youth Take Part in Trap Shoot

Twenty-six high school and middle school youth participated in a free youth trap shoot sponsored by the Russell Sportsmen's Club and the local Pheasants Forever Chapter on Sept. 1st.
Students received safety instructions and shotgun shooting fundamentals in the new education building at the Club before going to the line to shoot clay targets.  For many, it was their first shooting experience.
Shooting the highest scoring round was Travis Hobbs of Milo.  Second place went to first-time shooter Aaron Sullenger of Chariton.
The next free youth trap shoot will be held Sunday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m.  All youth middle school through high school are invited.  For more information call Dan at 641-203-5296.
