Special Teams Mistakes earn loss to Osky

A couple of special teams mistakes lead to 40-20 loss at Oskaloosa.  The Chargers started strong, but ended up with the loss.  The Chargers had a 100-yard rush as Matt Schultz rushed for 108 yards on 18 carries and one touch-down.  With the loss, Chariton moved to 0-2 in District play and 1-3 overall.
Alex Wright's extra point split the uprights to make the score 7-0 with 8:51 left in the first quarter.
Chariton didn't quit and they scored twice in the last 1:10 of the game.  After taking over on downs at their own 31 with 1:10 left, McCurdy took off down the left sideline for a 60-yard touchdown run, elating the Charger crowd.  Wright's extra point was good to make the score 40-14 with 1:01 left.
