We missed a lot of shots we normally make and we were just not playing as well as we normally do offensively. We were just a little flat. We came out in the second half and played much better. Our defense got us going in this game and we were able to get a few steals, which led to easy points. That was the difference in the game," Chariton Head Coach Ben Schooley said.
"We did a nice job of pressuring the basketball in the second half and that allowed for our defense to turn them over. I was proud of the way the guys responded in the second half. We didn't start the way we wanted to but we came out and played much better after that. We also have to give Wayne credit, they have some really good players and they played really well for most of this game.
