A very good conference foe was beaten by the Charger Varsity Baseball team in a doubleheader on June 3. The Chargers won the first game, 9-3 and the second game 8-6. In the first game, Chariton had three quick runs in the top of the first. Dalton Stites and Cameron Knust both scored to give Chariton a 2-0 lead. Jacob Kaska later scored. Two more scores were added in the top of the third to take a 5-0 lead. Cameron Knust singled and moved to second. Knust scored after Kaska's single to make the lead 4-0. In the bottom of the fifth it was 7-3 and two more scores brought it up to 9-3. The second game Chariton used a six run inning to post an 8-6 win. They reeled off six runs in the second to take a 7-4 lead. Dillon Lundy, Austin Burlin, Stites and Cameron Knust each scored. Stites reached base by fielder's choice and Burlin moved to second. Cameron Knust doubled scoring Stites.
