7th Red Girls BB Undefeated
68-21 thrashing of Knoxville gave the Chariton seventh grade girls' Red team a perfect season at Chariton January 29. The game win gave the Red team a final record of 12-0. At halftime their determination gave them a 37-5 lead on the way to their win. Ivy Swarthout and Hannah Isley had outstanding games leading Chariton with 29 points apiece. Swarthout also had one rebound, nine steals and one assist. Isley also had five rebounds, nine steals and four assists. Two other players, Autumn Gwinn and Tressa Shore, were the players who saw the most playing time when needed. Both played well in their roles and complimented the starters throughout the season. Despite some foul trouble, Aubrie Richards led the team in rebounds with 10 and blocked shots with three. She also had four points. Luci Swarthout had four points, three rebounds, five steals and one assist Abbie Peterson had four points, two rebounds and two steals. Autumn Gwinn had a steal. Tressa Shore had a rebound and a steal.
White Team Finishes with 11-1 Overall
After the win over Knoxville, 30-4, the team finished 11-1 overall. Jacklynn Johnson was the White team's leading scorer and rebounder with 10 points and five rebounds along with two steals. For the game, the White team shot 15-42 from the field, 36 percent .Trinity Kemper passed an open shot to Jacklynn who was also open but closer to the basket. Ashley Pfrimmer had four point, one rebound and four steals. Megan Schultz had four points, two rebounds and one block. Danica Derringer had four points, three rebounds and two steals. Autumn Gwinn had four points and one rebound. Taytum Bacus had two points, three rebounds and two steals. Natalie Baird had two points, three rebounds and one steal. Trinity Kemper had one rebound, one steal and one assist. Tressa Shore had two rebounds and two steals. Taheton Decker had two steals.
