In the nightcap on Tuesday night, the Varsity Chargers walloped Eddyville-Blakesburg. The Chargers lost the first game, 7-5, against the #2 pitcher in the conference, left-hander Craig Larkin, but exploded in the nightcap to win it, 15-0. The Chargers pounded out 12 hits in the second game and won the game in four innings.
Cameron Knust, Jacob Kaska, Riley Prough and Dustin Harberts all had multi-hit games.
Tyler Knust pitched all four innings, giving up only one hit and striking out three. The defense played error free ball behind him. This loss for Eddyville knocked them out of the conference lead.
