Lady Charger Volleyball Team Plays Well in 3-0 Road Win at Clarke on September 24
The Lady Charger volleyball team got another win with a 3.0 win over Clarke at Osceola September 24th. The scores of the match were 25-18, 25-16 and 25-16.
It was the second win in two nights for Chariton, who improved to 9-6 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
In serving, Chariton went 66-72 with four aces. Emma Fuhs went 28-28 with two aces and Taylor Tuley went 15-16 with two aces. Kourtney Nichols went 11-12. Alexis Curran went 5-6 and Emily Grismore went 4-5. Allyson Showers went 3.5.
In hitting, Chariton went 92-109 with 35 kills. Showers went 20-23 with eight kills.
Emily Seuferer went 16-18 with six kills. Tuley went 14-15 with six kills. Micaela Folkerts went 9-11 with one kill.
Chariton had 27 assists as a team. Nichols had 20 and Grismore had five. Folkerts and Tuley each had one. Showers, Tuley, Curran and Nichols had eight digs apiece. Fuhs had four and Folkerts had two. Grismore had one.
In blocking, Tuley had two blocks solo and one block assist. Seuferer had two blocks solo and Fuhs had two block assists. Showers had one block solo and Folkerts had one block assist.
9th Volleyball team beats Clarke
The Chariton freshman volleyball team picked up a couple of wins against Twin Cedars and Clarke the past two nights, September 23rd and 24th.
On Monday night, they beat Twin Cedars, 2-0, with the scores of the match being 21-11 and 21-18.
Kendall Hardie was the leading server going 10-12. Carlie Shaeffer went 7-8.
On Tuesday night, Chariton won at Clarke, 2-1. The Chargers won the first game 21-19 while Clarke won the second game, 14-21.
Chariton won the deciding game 15-11. Ashley Storm was the leading server going 13-13. Schaeffer went 10-12.
The freshman girls are now 4-4 on the season.
