8th Grade Boys Football team Loses to Knoxville

A slow start hurt the Chariton eighth grade football team in a 32-0 loss to Knoxville at Chariton on September 17th.  The Panthers scored all of their points in the first half and the Chargers showed improvement defensively in the second half.  With the loss, Chariton is now 0-2 overall.  A slow start and turnovers hurt the Chargers.  
Hunter Neer led the team in rushing with 22 yards on seven carries.  Dustin Bach had 20 yards on three carries.  At quarterback, Tyler Anderson had seven completions for 52 yards.  Neer had one completion for eight yards.  Isaiah Tuigong had three catches for 29 yards.  Neer had three catches for 29 yards.  Tommy Sommers had one catch for four yards.
Defensively, Sommers had a great game with nine tackles and a forced fumble.  Bach had five tackles and a fumble recovery.  Jade Spencer, Kurt Showers and Neer had three tackles apiece.  Dylin Harberts and Tuigong each had two tackles.  Anderson, Isaiah Zoutte and Connor Lundy each had one tackle.
