The Chariton Varsity boys' soccer team moved to 2-0 with a thrilling 4-3 victory over PCM at Reynolds Field. The score was tied 3-3 at the end of regulation and after two overtimes, This forced a shootout to be decided by penalty kicks and the Chargers won the shootout, 4-2, to win the match. Cole Pierschbacher sent a pass through the Mustang defense, which Shawn Kearney ran on to and sent it into the back corner of the net. The Chargers answered again when Cole Pierschbacher was able to get through the PCM defense and score, making it 2-2. Caleb Olson broke down the left side and sent a great cross into Pierschbacher, which he sent by the PCm goalie to tie the score at 3-3. In the shootout, Pierschbacher put the ball past the goalie to give Chariton a 2-1 lead.
